Photonics Day is an annual multidisciplinary event which brings together colleagues across the Zepler Institute and wider University to review the latest research, network and to discuss possible future collaborations. This year, in light of the government's major investment in the national network of Quantum Technology Hubs and Southampton's significant range of activities in the quantum area, Photonics Day will have a sub-theme: The Quantum Opportunity.
The day will feature invited talks on a range of research in photonics, quantum technologies and related fields. We are delighted to announce speakers from two of the UK's prominent Quantum Technology Hubs:
Students are also invited to participate by giving a one-minute flash talk to showcase their work - a cash prize will be awarded for the best presentation. To express an interest in giving a flash talk, please contact Ruth Churchill r.churchill@soton.ac.uk
