Prof Sir David Payne
70th Birthday Symposium

This year, Professor Sir David Payne, Director of the Optoelectronics Research Centre and Zepler Institute, celebrates his 70th Birthday, having spent more than 50 years of these working at Southampton University. To mark this special occasion, a Symposium to celebrate David’s research and entrepreneurial achievements over this period will be held on Thursday 18th September 2014.

The event will feature an afternoon of talks from a number of invited speakers, drawn from his circle of friends, colleagues and collaborators and will be immediately followed by a cheese and wine reception.
