Large-area conformable electronic skin

Ravinder Dahiya, Director of Electronics Systems and Design Centre, Glasgow

Abstract

Often applications require electronics to conform to 3D surfaces and this calls for new methods to realise device and circuits on unconventional substrates such as plastics and paper. Sensitive electronics systems, which are possible stretchable as well, will be key enablers for numerous emerging fields such as internet of things, smart cities and mobile health etc. This lecture will also discuss how flexible electronics research may unfold in the future.

All staff and students are invited to attend. The lecture will be followed by refreshments and an opportunity for networking.

The support of the IEEE Sensors Council Distinguished Lecturer programme is gratefully acknowledged.
