Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording

Mark Gubbins, Design Manager, Seagate Technologies

 

We are pleased to announce that Mark Gubbins, Design Manager at Seagate Technologies will be visiting the University on Thursday 8 January to give a technical presentation on Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording. The presentation will give an overview of Seagate’s work in this area and aims to inspire research into relevant problems. The lecture is open to all staff, postdocs and students across the University with research interests in HAMR.
